For 115 years, Red Wing has made shoes for the workers of America. But in 2020, the pandemic had decimated the economy leaving over 25 million Americans unemployed. So on Labor Day, one of the biggest consumer days of the year, we sold the one thing people really needed: jobs.
While a full-page ad in the New York Times invited others into the fold.
Once Labor Day hit, something incredible happened as over 400 brands joined the cause. Fast food giants, automotive companies - even our competitors - all chose to forgo their Labor Day sales promotions and instead promote any and all job openings they had.
